The debate on European digital sovereignty is also making irruption into the ongoing negotiations in Germany between Chancellor-designate Merz’s CDU/CSU and the SPD for the formation of the new government.
It has been put on the negotiating table by an appeal from the Council for European Public Space, which also includes several members and friends of Eurovisioni, starting with Jean-Paul Philippot, Director General of the French-language Belgian public broadcaster, ARTE, the former MEP Helga Trupel, Matthias Pfeffer, Paul Nemitz, Minna Horowitz and, for Italy, Francesca Bria, as well as many other players in the media and digital world.
